What This Reference Does
Idaho public-record access can point toward an arrest or booking record, but the useful question is often which office holds the item. The Madison County Detention Center and Sheriff's Office create county detention records and photographs. The Madison County Courts hold the later case and disposition. Idaho Department of Correction maintains state custody, parole, and probation information. The county's NextRequest portal covers records that are not exposed through a public search.
These pages gather those official paths, explain the difference between current custody and a past booking, and identify the source behind each route. Madison County's detention center serves several agencies, so a facility name does not always reveal the arresting jurisdiction. No booking-photo gallery is hosted here.
What the Pages Include
The resources are arranged around the record a reader is trying to locate:
- The home page joins the booking record, records request, missing public roster, court path, state and federal locators, notification systems, and Idaho law in one county-wide reference.
- Wanted Fugitives explains the absence of a verified public wanted wall and gives the safe court and sheriff routing for warrant questions.
- Arrest News maps East Idaho News, Local News 8, Rexburg activity reports, and the one verified unofficial local aggregator section.
- Rexburg Busted Mugshots and Sugar City Busted Mugshots separate city police or contracted sheriff activity from the county jail booking record.
- The reference explains how to request a booking record or photo, how Idaho iCourt continues the story, and when IDOC, BOP, ICE, or VINE is the correct custody layer.
What We Cannot Do
Madison County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It is not connected with the Madison County Sheriff's Office, a city police department, Idaho Department of Correction, a court, or any other government agency. Official offices alone can confirm custody, release, charges, or the existence of a record.
- We cannot release, move, or supervise anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule a jail visit, or send money for another person.
- We cannot give legal advice or decide whether a record is sealed, protected, or releasable.
- We cannot promise that an address, phone number, fee, court result, or web link remains current.
Use Madison County Sheriff's Office, the relevant police department, the court, or the corrections agency for an official answer. This service can point to a source, but it cannot speak for that source.
Search-Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, data practices, and results. If a visitor chooses a paid tool after following a referral, Madison County Busted Mugshots may receive a fee that helps support the service. That arrangement does not give the site control over the partner's pricing, search result, record, or decision.
Official county, court, state, and federal sources remain the primary record paths. An arrest or booking photo is an accusation, not a conviction, and any later court disposition should be checked with the originating office.
